DAN PAXTON

VICE PRESIDENT

Dr. Paxton is an experienced executive, consultant, professor and business school dean. He is a Managing Director of The Center for Leadership Solutions which is a consulting firm focusing on organization strategy, talent development and performance management. Dr. Paxton is recognized as an expert in executive leadership development coaching. He has experience working with CEO’s and senior level executives in numerous industries including; oil and gas, publishing, plastics, insurance, food service, manufacturing, consumer products, skiing, recreation (SLC 2002 Olympics), nutrition, retail, transportation and banking to mention a few. Prior to consulting he had a distinguished 14-year career with PepsiCo, where he moved through numerous Human Resource functions in 4 different divisions leading to the Chief Human Resource Officer position of the Pizza Hut division. The Pizza Hut division had 140,000 employees and 5,000 restaurants. He was responsible for developing strategy’s, which supported the rapid growth of the business. This included selection, compensation and benefits, training and development, leadership coaching, government relations, public relations, communications, employee relations, and performance management systems that became role models for other PepsiCo divisions.

Early in his PepsiCo career he was a Vice President working directly with PepsiCo’s Chairman, Wayne Calloway to develop executive succession systems to support the rapid growth of PepsiCo’s worldwide businesses. Prior to joining PepsiCo he was a successful professor and assistant dean at Georgetown University School of Business. He was responsible for the Undergraduate School of Business Administration program. He had teaching responsibilities in the areas of Business Strategy, Leadership and Entrepreneurship. He has a Doctor of Education Degree from Brigham Young University with an emphasis in Leadership. He also has a Masters Degree from Utah State University and a Bachelors of Science Degree from the University of Utah.

Dr. Paxton currently serves on a number of Advisory and Corporate Boards.
